The Role
We are seeking an experienced Architectural Technical Lead / Fire Safety Architect to join a leading consultancy in London, specialising in large-scale data centre projects. This permanent role offers the opportunity to oversee complex technical design, with a strong focus on architecture, compliance, and fire safety.
Responsibilities

Act as subject matter expert in architecture and fire safety design across full data centre campuses.

Review and peer-review consultant drawings, models, and specifications.

Ensure compliance with international design standards, local building codes, and fire safety regulations.

Identify and recommend value engineering opportunities.

Escalate design or fire safety issues that impact programme delivery.

Deliver design review reports, engineering bulletins, and structured feedback.

Collaborate with consultants, project managers, and contractors on technical solutions.

Use CAD, BIM, and BIM360/ACC for validation, coordination, and documentation.
Requirements

Fully qualified and ARB-registered architect (or equivalent).

Proven experience in data centre technical design and fire safety compliance.

Strong understanding of architectural and engineering standards.

Skilled in technical design review and risk identification.

Proficiency in CAD, BIM, and collaboration platforms.
