Data Center Electrical Engineer


Based in a West London Data Centre


Join an innovative team responsible for maintaining and operating global infrastructure. As a Data Center Facilities Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of data centers, providing customers with uninterrupted access to services. Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, specialists, and managers to deliver high standards of safety and security while optimizing costs.


Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain all mechanical, electrical, emergency generator, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center.
  • Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal service level agreements.
  • Perform limited maintenance tasks including filter changes, HVAC preventive maintenance, rack power installations, rack power distribution unit, and rack automatic transfer switch replacements.
  • Support Data Centre Operations technicians.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures.
  • Adhere to safety procedures while performing work.
  • Take daily operational readings of mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds and log taking.
  • Utilize internal Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage building workflows and spare part inventory.
  • Supervise contractors performing servicing or preventive maintenance.
  • Respond to off-hour emergency calls as part of an on-call rotation for regional sites.
  • Fully comply with all physical security procedures and policies.

Essential Skills:
