You’ll work across content, research, and product, as well as data science function and research teams. While initially a solo role, this position is expected to scale into a global function.

Leading the editorial division’s use of data, from solving sourcing and governance challenges, to storytelling and analysis Building a robust framework for internal data quality, governance, and reuse Training and upskilling journalists to build their confidence in working with data independently Partnering with the product and content teams to transform data into subscriber tools and insights Key requirements include:

Significant experience in a newsroom as a data journalist or responsible for integrating data reporting across products Strong technical capability (Python, R, SQL) Experience managing complex datasets and turning them into coherent, meaningful output A clear communicator, able to explain methods, mentor colleagues, and advocate for best practice Everyone who applies will receive a response within one week.
