A small yet well-established business are looking to make their very first dedicated data hire, as embark on a journey to become truly data-driven.

Based in London (South Bank), you will be fully office-based initially to get to know everyone and get to grips with the business, with the option to then work from home 2 days per week post-probation.

Reporting into their CTO, you will take ownership of Data and Analytics across the organisation - leading on the transition from Excel-based reporting to insightful and interactive Power BI reports and dashboards.

You'll work with various teams such as trading, logistics and finance, to build Power BI reports that allow them to track key metrics, identify trends, identify opportunities for improvement and ultimately make more informed decisions.

Over time, you'll create reusable templates for users to explore data independently, and will champion a "self-serve" approach to analytics. You'll explore the use of tools like Power Apps, Power Automate, and even explore the possibilities of AI to further improve the businesses data capabilities.

You'll also champion data quality and governance, promoting best-practice and cultivating a culture of data security, with some element of general technology and IT operational support.

Requirements:

  • Experience designing and developing Power BI reports with use of Power Query and DAX
  • Advanced Excel skills as current reports are in Excel
  • Knowledge of Power Apps or Power Automate would be highly beneficial
  • Experience with data governance and data quality best-practice
  • Excellent communication and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels

Benefits:
