Job Title: Senior Data Platform Administrator - FinTech | AWS | PostgreSQL

What You'll Be Doing

As a key member of the Platform team, you'll take ownership of maintaining and optimising cloud-based and on-prem data platforms, ensuring performance, reliability, and security. You'll collaborate with internal teams to implement best practices and contribute to the scalability of the platform as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and monitor cloud and on-premise databases (PostgreSQL and more)

  • Design and implement secure, high-availability data platforms

  • Manage core platform operations including data replication, backup and recovery strategies, encryption protocols, and performance optimisation

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and roll out improvements

  • Provide end-user support via the Helpdesk system and participate in deployment activities

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills:

  • 5 years minimum hands-on experience with AWS cloud data platforms

  • Expertise in PostgreSQL administration (or similar)

  • Solid understanding of data warehousing and platform maintenance

  • Experience with MongoDB/DynamoDB and S3

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes)

  • Knowledge of Kafka and Terraform
