We're hiring on behalf of our client, a leading global private markets investment firm, for a newly created Financial Data Steward role within their Portfolio Analytics team. This position is based in London and plays a vital part in shaping the firm's approach to financial data governance, quality, and reporting.

Role overview:As Financial Data Steward, you will champion best practices in data integrity across finance workstreams, ensuring that fund, portfolio, and investor-level datasets are complete, accurate, and reliable. You'll lead data quality initiatives, build internal dashboards, and work across teams to embed a culture of "right-first-time" data management.

Key responsibilities:

Reconcile data across internal systems (GL, portfolio monitoring, CRM) and third-party sources (fund admins, custodians, vendors)
Maintain the Finance Data Catalogue - defining ownership, lineage, and golden sources
Build Power BI dashboards to track data quality metrics, reconciliation exceptions, and performance insights
Define and enforce data quality rules to improve accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
Provide training, documentation, and day-to-day support to enhance data literacy across Finance

About you:

Experience reconciling complex financial datasets from internal and external sources
Skilled in defining and monitoring data quality using KPIs and automated controls
Proficient in Excel and Power BI for analysis and reporting
Strong communication skills and confidence working across business, technical, and analytics teams
Detail-oriented with sound analytical judgement and a proactive mindset
