Summer-Browning Associates is currently supporting our central government client, who is seeking a Data Architect for an initial six-month assignment with the option to extend.

Location: London - Remote / Hybrid

The ideal candidate will possess an active security clearance and have a strong background in Data Architecture, along with the following skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience in designing data solutions, creating data architecture, and building data models.
  • Proficiency in data profiling and source system analysis.
  • Experience in developing data standards for specific components, including relational and dimensional models, as well as adhering to FAIR principles and industry best practices.
  • Knowledge of modelling frameworks and standards, such as UML and TOGAF, and familiarity with tools like MooD, Visio, and Erwin.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft data technologies, including PaaS solutions (SQL Server, Synapse) and SaaS applications (Fabric), as well as Databricks.
  • Familiarity with various data patterns and data types, including relational, dimensional, structured and unstructured data, medallion architecture patterns, API patterns, security, and integrations.
  • Knowledge of data management and governance processes and practices, following the Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBoK).
  • A good understanding of UK Government Data policies and cross-domain architectures.
