Major Recruitment are currently looking for Resident Services Officer in Avondale, London

35 Hours per week - Hours 8.am - 4.00pm with 1 hour lunch

5 days in the office - no hybrid working available

3 month placement initially

Must have social housing experience

Could be travelling between sites - closest train station is Elephant & Castle

Pay rate: 23.42/ hour Paye
A DBS required before the candidates start

Required Skills and experience to be considered for the role:

  • Knowledge of relevant housing law and regulation, with significant experience of applying this in a social housing organisation
  • Experience of resolving complex enquiries from residents, elected Members, internal partners and external agencies
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, with an ability to resolve conflict positively
  • Experience of working in a performance-driven environment, including meeting KPIs and service standards
  • Knowledge of safeguarding principles relating to children and vulnerable adults and experience of applying these in a housing management setting
  • Knowledge of antisocial behaviour case management and experience of successfully resolving a range of ASB and nuisance issues
  • Experience of resident involvement activities and an ability to promote positive relationships with tenants and leaseholders
  • Experience of producing a range of written communications to a high standard, including letters, reports, statistical information and resident communications
  • Ability to successfully manage own time and resources to meet deadlines and achieve timely outcomes
  • Proven ability to work positively with colleagues and partners to ensure the best outcomes for residents
  • A strong appreciation of data protection and confidentiality principles and experience of applying these in practice
  • Ability to demonstrate appropriate sensitivity and understanding of a diverse range of resident needs
  • Experience of managing budgets and using purchasing processes
  • Ability to work flexibly across different locations using mobile technology, including safely lone working
