Resident Services Officer

Location: Golden Lane Estate, London EC1Y (Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm) as the role is client facing

Job Type: Temporary (3 months with review to extend to 12 months)

Hourly rate: 32.86ph - 37ph depending on experience

Working Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

We are seeking a Senior Resident Services Officer for an initial 3-month period with a potential extension to a fixed-term contract of 12 months. This role is based at the high-profile Golden Lane Estate, which requires a mature and experienced housing professional to manage a range of housing services effectively.

We are looking for an urgent start and interviews will be held on Wednesday 10th September

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Handle a full range of tenancy management issues including sign-ups, tenancy audits, mutual exchanges, successions, and tenancy terminations.
  • Respond effectively to complaints of anti-social behaviour and tenancy breaches.
  • Support vulnerable residents and collaborate with colleagues and agencies to help sustain tenancies.
  • Promote resident involvement activities and maintain a visible presence on the estate, building positive relationships with residents' associations and other groups.
  • Play a pivotal role in signing up and inducting new tenants into 66 brand new homes recently completed at the estate.
  • Managing the customer service officer

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must have substantial professional experience in housing management, including general needs and leasehold.
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CIH) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant housing law and regulation.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, with an ability to resolve conflicts positively.
  • Proficiency in general IT skills and experience using housing management software.
  • Ability to work independently with outstanding organisational skills and a positive, enthusiastic approach.
