Document Controller

150/day - Long Term Rolling Contract - Inside IR35 - Hybrid Working

We are looking for a meticulous and organized Document Controller to manage the preparation, storage, and distribution of documents, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and easy access for teams. This role is essential in maintaining efficient document workflows across projects.

This is for a Nuclear Power project - Sector experience or Large Infrastructure project is Desirable

Key Responsibilities:

  • Copy, scan, print, and upload documents following established procedures.
  • Review, edit, and update technical documents such as manuals, contracts, drawings, and workflows for accuracy and quality control.
  • Distribute project-related documents to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • File and archive documents in physical and digital systems, maintaining record retention timelines.
  • Retrieve files as requested by employees or clients.
  • Create templates for consistent document use.
  • Manage the flow of incoming and outgoing documentation, including registration and tracking.
  • Ensure confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive information.
  • Report on document status and prepare ad-hoc project updates as needed.
  • Assist with secure disposal of obsolete documents.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Document Controller or in a similar records management role (2+ years preferred).
  • Familiarity with document management systems (e.g., EDMS, SharePoint) and office software like MS Office and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, labor laws, and document handling best practices.
  • Excellent typing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
