- Complete planned, emergency and defect maintenance of the trunk sewer network.
- Physical maintenance of the sewer network and associated assets, e.g. penstock gates.
- Operation of plant and equipment.
- Cleaning, basic maintenance and fault-finding.
- Please note, for this role will be mandatory to work in confined spaces, at heights, and lifting heavy loads; training will be provided.
- Previous experience in maintenance would be advantageous, and in particular, mechanical bias, with previous qualifications desirable.
- You must be physically fit and prepared to work in a challenging environment daily, as you will complete manual handling activities to operate large mechanical assets and grounds maintenance.
- Have a proactive approach to your work and demonstrate that you can work positively and effectively within a team environment.
- You will need to be a keen and motivated team member, able to demonstrate initiative and a flexible approach to work.
- A valid UK driving licence is ideal but not essential, and HGV training can be provided.
- Willing to work on a shift pattern, with 1 week of nights in 5 and complete an out-of-hours call-out rota.
- For health and safety reasons, you will be required to be clean-shaven in order to wear respiratory protective equipment (RPE) correctly.
- Competitive salary starting from £27,465 up to £34,200 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
