LTS are currently looking for a Nursery Nurse to start immediately in one of our client schools in the Edmonton area of Enfield, North London.

You will be supporting an Early Years pupil who has Special Educational Needs. They are currently in Nursery and have:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition
  • Speech, language and communication needs
  • Social, emotional and mental health difficulties

You will work with them on a one-to-one basis throughout the day to support them with both their learning and their personal needs.

The role is full time, Monday to Friday, from 8.30am until 3.30pm each day.

You will be paid daily, between £90 and £95 a day, on a weekly basis and you will be expected to follow the local school term dates, ideally avoiding taking holiday in term time to enable you to build a good relationship with the pupil.

This role is not without its challenges; however, it is very rewarding, and you will be fully supported by a highly skilled, friendly staff team who will equip you with the resources and knowledge you need to help the pupil to progress.

Duties

  • Provide attentive and responsive care to the child in the nursery setting.
  • Plan and implement appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
  • Observe and assess the child's progress, documenting their development as required.
  • Communicate effectively with the child, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare.
  • Support the child’s social, emotional and mental development through positive interactions.
  • Manage daily routines, including meal times and nap times.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment.

Skills & Experience Required

  • CACHE Level 2 or 3 Qualification in Childcare.
  • Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting.
  • Experience supporting those with Special Educational Needs.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with the child and their parents.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A genuine drive to support the growth and development of young children.
