CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
Location - Tooting, South West London
Position - Reception Teacher
Type of work - Class Teacher - planning, preparation, marking, parents evenings etc
Contract or position start date - 5th January 2026
Duration / Likely Duration - until end of the academic year July 2026
Contract or position end date (if applicable) - July 2026 with a view to extend to the end of academic year 2026/27
Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) - Temporary
Full time/part time - Full time
Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate GBP170 per day (depending on MPS)
Hours - 8:00am - 16:00pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in EYFS / KS1
DBS on the Update Service
Strong knowledge of the EYFS Framework, National Curriculum, and effective assessment practices.
Proven ability to deliver high-quality teaching that promotes progress and inclusion for all pupils.
Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
Commitment to safeguarding, wellbeing, and continuous professional development.
Collaborative, reflective, and passionate about providing the best start to every childs education
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
