We are currently supporting an outstanding primary school in the vibrant and diverse community of Hackney, East London, as they look to appoint a 1 to 1 Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This school believes that children learn best when they feel happy, safe, and valued. They offer a rich and exciting curriculum designed to build confidence, foster enthusiasm for lifelong learning, and help every child achieve their full potential. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating this nurturing environment, supporting pupils in mainstream classrooms and offering 1:1 or small group support for autistic pupils as part of their Autism Resource Provision from September 2025.
Location: Hackney, East London
Position: 1 to 1 Teaching Assistant
Your Role Will Include:
- Supporting children with literacy and numeracy activities
- Assisting in developing personal and social skills through structured play and learning
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Providing targeted support to autistic pupils, both 1:1 and in small groups
Experience:
Experience as a 1 to 1 Teaching Assistant or SEN Teaching Assistant in a classroom or educational setting is preferred but not essential - dedication, enthusiasm, and passionate about supporting children are the qualities that the school look for in potential hires.
