A leading Secondary School in East Ham, Newham is seeking an ADHD Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 8 student who has moderate ADHD starting ASAP.
The position is full-time and long-term for the entire academic year, with a salary ranging from £95 to £115 per day, paid weekly.
Candidates should have some recent experience working with students with behavioral challenges, preferably in an educational setting.
The role requires strong communication skills, knowledge of behavior management techniques, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
A valid DBS certificate is preferred, although the school can provide one if needed.

ADHD Teaching Assistant | Preferential

Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.

ADHD Teaching Assistant | Requirement

Must have some recent SEN Experience
Candidates must have a valid DBS certificate on the update service (Not mandatory as we can provide one)
Some knowledge of strategies in working with young people with behavioural problems
Basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.
