Job Description

Role: ASD Learning Assistant

Start: ASAP

Location: Islington, North London

Contract: Full time

Rate: £90-£115 per day

School Type: Secondary

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced ASD Learning Assistant (ADHD) to support a KS3 child with moderate ADHD. The student is progressing academically however he needs help with his concentration and interacting with her peers.

ASD Learning Assistant | The ideal candidate:

  • Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
  • Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the educational environment.
