Classroom Assistant - Creative Graduates Wanted
A holistic, creative and nurturing primary school in Lewisham is seeking x3 Classroom Assistants to join them in September, for the full academic year.
This Ofsted Outstanding school has been employing Creative Graduates into Classroom Assistant positions for the past 7 years with enormous success. If you're a creative graduate that enjoys working with children, this could be the job for you!
As a Classroom Assistant, you will be:
- Working in the classroom alongside a qualified teacher
- Supporting multiple children, including those with SEN and EAL requirements
- Running a creative club of your choosing, i.e Arts, Drama, Music, Sport etc
- Running small interventions with groups of 5-6 children at a time
- Have the opportunity to enroll onto the school's salaried teacher training programme the following academic year!
This Classroom Assistant position is perfect for creative graduates who are interested in a career in primary teaching, therapy, psychology and more. Multiple candidates have used this experience to spring board their careers, with several still employed at the school years later as teachers, as well as lot's of people who are now qualified Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Music Therapists, Art Therapists, SENCO's and more!
Here's all the essential information you need to know:
- Classroom Assistant
- 105 - 115 per day
- 08:30 - 16:00 working hours
- Monday - Friday, term time only
- Working in EYFS, KS1 or KS2
- Opportunity for salaried teacher training next year
- Start in September 2025, working through till July 2026
- Based in Lewisham, SE13 - Short walk from a station + free parking on site
