Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert classroom support across KS3 and KS4 in both mainstream and SEN settings
- Deliver tailored one-to-one and small group interventions for students with SEN, SEMH, and behavioural needs
- Implement proven de-escalation and positive behaviour management strategies
- Work closely with teaching staff and the SEN team to differentiate learning and ensure inclusion
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development, promoting resilience and progress
- Act as a role model, building positive relationships to inspire student engagement
Requirements
- Previous experience as an experienced Teaching Assistant, ideally within a secondary school setting
- Strong background in supporting students with SEN/SEMH and challenging behaviour
- Knowledge of effective behaviour management and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential
- Commitment to a long-term role within a supportive school environment
