One-to-One Teaching Assistant

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lambeth is seeking a compassionate and proactive One-to-One Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional learning needs starting this September. This One-to-One Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and wants to make a real impact from day one.

• Work closely with a pupil to provide tailored, consistent support throughout the school day

• Receive training and guidance from a strong SENCO and experienced teaching staff

• Join a creative and diverse Lambeth school committed to inclusion and achievement

• Excellent transport links with nearby tube and rail stations

• Provide individualised support during lessons to promote learning and engagement

• Implement behaviour strategies and support emotional regulation

• Liaise with teachers and the SENCO to track progress and adapt strategies

• Assist in creating a safe and nurturing environment for learning

• Foster independence and social development through consistent encouragement

• Experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a school setting

• A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to follow direction while using initiative when needed

• DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
