A welcoming and supportive primary school in Ealing is looking for a compassionate and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of children who need additional support.

About the Role:

  • Provide 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil with SEMH needs (including ADHD and behavioural challenges)

  • Support the child in managing their emotions, behaviour, and engagement with learning

  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and external professionals

  • Help to implement strategies that promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation

  • Be a positive role model and offer consistent, nurturing support throughout the school day

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs, ADHD, or behavioural difficulties

  • Calm, patient, and proactive approach

  • Confident managing challenging situations in a supportive and constructive way

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine passion for working in education and supporting vulnerable pupils
