About the Role:As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with a variety of special needs, including Autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. You will be responsible for delivering tailored interventions, encouraging positive behaviour, and helping to create a safe and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Supporting students with SEND on a 1:1 or small group basis

Assisting with the planning and delivery of individualised learning programmes

Promoting inclusion and ensuring all pupils feel valued and supported

Collaborating with teaching staff, SENCO, and external professionals

Maintaining accurate records of student progress and behaviour
Requirements:

Previous experience supporting children with SEND (in a school or similar setting)

A patient, calm, and empathetic approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Desirable:

Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning)

Experience with Makaton, PECS, or other communication methods
