Are you an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding long-term opportunity in the borough of Haringey? A fantastic primary school is seeking a proactive and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This is a mixed role, providing both SEN Teaching Assistant support and General Teaching Assistant duties within Key Stage 1.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children who have a range of additional needs, including Autism and Speech and Language difficulties, while also supporting the class teacher with general classroom activities. This is an exciting chance for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to build strong relationships with pupils and staff while making a real difference in the classroom.
SEN Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group SEN support across KS1 as a SEN Teaching Assistant.

Deliver targeted interventions to help pupils meet individual targets.

Support the class teacher with general classroom activities and supervision.

Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

Work collaboratively with the SENCO, teachers, and external agencies.
SEN Teaching Assistant - Candidate Requirements:

Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or General Teaching Assistant.

A passion for supporting children with additional needs.

Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with young learners.

Patience, resilience, and a nurturing attitude are essential for a SEN Teaching Assistant.

An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.
