Primary Teaching Assistant - General & SEN Support - Haringey - KS1 Focus - ASAP Start

An inclusive and welcoming primary school in the borough of Haringey is seeking a committed Primary Teaching Assistant to join their KS1 team. This Primary Teaching Assistant role combines general classroom support with occasional 1:1 SEN interventions.

Primary Teaching Assistant - Responsibilities:

  • Support learning activities in Year 1 and Year 2 classrooms.

  • Deliver interventions for pupils with mild SEN needs (e.g. speech & language, ASD).

  • Prepare learning resources, assist with group tasks and classroom organisation.

  • Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.

Primary Teaching Assistant - Requirements:

  • Previous Teaching Assistant or classroom experience in a primary setting.

  • Able to commit to a long-term teaching assistant role, Monday to Friday.

  • A calm, nurturing and flexible approach to pupil support.

  • Must hold an Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one.
