Job Description:Veritas Education is currently working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school located in the heart of Islington, East London, who are seeking a qualified Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025 or after the October half-term.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and committed individual to support pupils across EYFS, KS1, or KS2, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, proactive, and confident working with young children in a classroom setting.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children in a primary school setting
  • Some experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. autism, speech and language needs, or ADHD)
  • A positive and nurturing approach to working with children
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
  • Providing one-to-one or small group support where required
  • Assisting pupils with SEN to access learning and meet their targets
  • Helping to create a safe and stimulating learning environment
  • Monitoring pupil progress and feeding back to the teacher
