Teaching Assistant

Location: Islington, Central LondonStart Date: September 2025Salary: £85 - £100 per dayContract: Full-time, fixed term for the academic year

Reeson Education is recruiting for a KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and welcoming primary school in Islington for the new academic year. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in education, particularly in Key Stage 1, and who has a passion for supporting young learners.

The school is a two-form entry setting with a reputation for inclusive practice, a broad curriculum, and strong SEN support. You will be based in a Year 1 class, working alongside the class teacher and SENCo to provide academic and emotional support for pupils, particularly those with additional learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting classroom activities and differentiated learning

• 1:1 and group interventions, particularly phonics and early maths

• Helping to create a stimulating and engaging learning environment

• Supporting pupils with EAL and SEN, following teacher and SENCo direction

• Liaising with parents, teachers, and professionals as needed

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Experience in a school or childcare setting (KS1 experience desirable)

• Calm, patient, and positive approach

• Ability to follow instructions and use initiative

• A genuine interest in education and child development
