About the Role:A welcoming, supportive primary school in Camden is seeking a confident and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team for an ASAP start. This is a full-time, term-time role supporting literacy development through phonics delivery, small group interventions, and classroom support.

The school is looking for a proactive, organised individual with proven experience working in primary schools, particularly with early reading and phonics groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver small group phonics interventions and early literacy support

  • Prepare engaging resources and activities to support lesson delivery

  • Work alongside class teachers to assist with differentiated tasks and classroom management

  • Support children in developing early reading, writing, and comprehension skills

  • Track and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and the SENCO where required

  • Assist with general classroom duties, displays, and supervision as needed

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in a primary school setting

  • Strong understanding of phonics teaching approaches (Read Write Inc, Little Wandle, or similar desirable)

  • Confident delivering small group interventions and one-to-one support

  • Organised, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting teaching and learning

  • Available for a full-time, ASAP start
