Ecologist - London

A well-established and respected ecological consultancy in the South and East of England is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Ecologist to join its expanding team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality ecological services, including habitat and species surveys, technical reporting, and client liaison. Key Responsibilities:

Conduct a range of ecological surveys, including habitat assessments and protected species surveys
Produce clear, accurate, and well-structured ecological reports and assessments
Contribute to the design and implementation of mitigation strategies
Liaise professionally with clients, local authorities, and regulatory bodies
Support junior team members and assist with project coordination

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related subject
At least two years of experience in ecological consultancy (preferred)
Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and survey methodologies
Experience with species licensing (e.g. bat, great crested newt) is desirable
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A full UK driving licence
