Property Accounts Assistant

London

£30k – £32k

The role: A detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant role which would be working with the Head of Accounts. The role will be maintaining accurate financial records for Clients properties.

Duties:

  • Perform basic accounting tasks to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Process cheques, save scanned cheques, and handle cheque deposits.
  • Manage credit control, including issuing credit notes and recharges (e.g., utilities, insurance).
  • Generate monthly rental demands and quarterly rent/service charge demands for tenants and clients.
  • Update client statements and receipts, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Conduct reporting duties for the assigned portfolio.
  • Address and resolve queries professionally via phone and email.
  • Assist in corporate accounting tasks and reporting up to trial balance.
  • Review expenditure coding to ensure alignment with budgets.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and handle ad hoc accounting tasks.

Requirements:

  • Industry Experience: Previous or current experience in a similar role within the real estate/property management sector.
  • Strong understanding of service charge accounting.
  • Competence with accounting software packages (property management software knowledge is advantageous).
  • Solid Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
