The RoleWe are seeking experienced HIU Service and Maintenance Engineers to support our Energy Centre Services operations. This is a hands-on role that involves working on high-pressure and high-temperature installations within district heating systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service and repair of HIU/CIU installations
- Pipework repairs and associated fixtures/fittings
- Meter replacements within HIUs
- Minor electrical repairs within HIUs
- Delivering excellent customer service
- Attending callouts as required
- Identifying and implementing asset performance improvements using market-leading optimisation software
Essential:
- Time-served mechanical apprenticeship
- City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- IT literate and confident using CAFM systems
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and client-facing professionalism
- Experience working on pumps, valves, and general HVAC equipment
Desirable:
- Unvented hot water certification
- Previous experience with HIU breakdowns, repairs, and maintenance
