Job Title: Commissioning Engineer

Location: London (travel required)

Pay: Competitive salary based on experience

Duration: Ongoing no end date

Hours/Days: Monday - Friday (40hr week, additional work available, weekends, other time etc)

Responsibilities:

  • Play a critical role in accelerating zero-carbon transport by expertly commissioning EV charging infrastructure.
  • Take ownership of the commissioning process, from electrical and network system testing to operational handover.
  • Apply your dual electrical and networking expertise for seamless integration of charging systems with operational networks.
  • Drive quality and safety standards across all commissioning activities while maintaining project timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex technical challenges and implement innovative solutions.
  • Shape commissioning best practises and contribute to continuous improvement of our delivery processes.

A Taste of the Day to Day:

  • Review and evaluate Electrical Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) during project commissioning phases.
  • Define network and bill of materials requirements during initial design stages.
  • Provide troubleshooting & technical engineering support to delivery PMs around electrical, network & EVC troubleshooting.
  • Lead on-site network cabinet installations and test functionality of network equipment.
  • Ensure all Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Support handover of commissioned sites to Operations, following our site completion checklist.

A Bit About You: Essential Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical & network infrastructure and its components.
  • Formal electrical qualifications and network infrastructure experience.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and MS Project.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to attend and work on construction sites (CSCS, SMSTS or similar).
  • Full UK Driving licence.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
  • Previous experience working alongside Civil & Electrical Engineering Contractors.
