Our client is a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong reputation in the construction, property, and infrastructure sectors. They deliver innovative and high-quality design solutions across a range of projects, including Commercial, Industrial, Government, and Educational buildings.
Role Overview:
They are looking for a motivated and skilled Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join their Building Services team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in electrical building services design who is looking to further develop their technical expertise and grow within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the design and development of electrical systems for a variety of building projects, including new builds and refurbishments.
* Support senior engineers in producing detailed design calculations, specifications, and drawings.
* Collaborate with other disciplines to deliver coordinated design solutions.
* Attend project and design team meetings when required.
* Contribute to technical reports and design documentation.
* Carry out site visits and assist in inspections as part of the project delivery process.
Requirements:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
* 2-5 years of experience in electrical design within the building services industry.
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit MEP experience with other design tools is a plus.
* Familiarity with relevant building regulations and standards (e.g., IET Wiring Regulations, BS 7671).
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working within a team.
* A willingness to learn and progress toward professional accreditation (e.g., CEng).
