Electrical Design Engineer – Various projects - Blackfriars  

We are currently partnering with a multidisciplinary consultancy who specialise in design, engineering and project management services. They boast proven success across a variety of sectors including Data Centres, Commercial, residential etc.

Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in London, Blackfriars.

Responsibilities

Electrical System Design & Coordination

Design and develop electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and low-voltage systems in accordance with UK standards and regulations (e.g., BS7671, CIBSE guidelines).

Multidisciplinary Collaboration

Work closely with architects, structural and mechanical engineers, sustainability consultants, and project managers to ensure integrated, coordinated design outcomes across all project phases.

Project Documentation & Reporting

Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and technical reports for tender, construction, and regulatory approval. Ensure accuracy and consistency across all project documentation.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

Attend client meetings, design reviews, and site visits to understand requirements, present design proposals, and provide technical advice throughout the project lifecycle.

Regulatory Compliance & Innovation

Ensure all designs comply with current legislation, health and safety standards, and sustainability benchmarks. Keep abreast of emerging technologies and contribute innovative solutions to improve efficiency and environmental performance.

Requirements

Must have 3+ years’ experience in a similar position

Must have previous experience on large scale construction projects

Must have UK Passport or RTW in UK

£60,000 - £70,000 + WFH Potential following 6-month probationary period
