Electrical Design Engineer - London - To 45K
Like challenging the norm and speaking up when there's a smarter way to do something?
Prefer working with inhouse architects, structural engineers and sustainability engineers on unique projects?
If so, you'll feel right at home in this global multidisciplinary engineering practice known for its innovative engineering, collaborative design, and commitment to sustainability.
Due to growth, they are now looking for an additional Engineer for their London studio.
You'll be joining a down-to-earth, engaged team of M&E Engineers, Architects, Structural Engineers, and Sustainability experts. Everyone works together to come up with a solution, as all disciplines respect and value each other.
The result?
A design that works, a team that is not overworked and beautifully holistic design.
This isn't the kind of place where engineers sit in silos.
Here, everyone is encouraged to share ideas, challenge each other constructively, and support each other's growth.
And you won't get stuck on the same project for five years; or get bored from copy and paste engineering.
Here you'll be involved in everything from refurbishments of listed buildings to cutting-edge life sciences and healthcare facilities, universities, and some truly iconic landmarks.
Your effort will be recognised across the MEP team and the wider London office. Weekly CPDs and 'lunch and learns' are a regular fixture, helping you stay sharp and keep developing.
The office.
A beautifully designed space with high ceilings, loads of greenery, open-plan areas mixed with quiet corners, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to come in.
What you'll be doing:
- Delivering practical, innovative electrical design solutions.
- Collaborating with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to solve complex challenges.
- Building great relationships with clients based on openness and trust.
- Seeing your projects through from concept to site visits to post-completion performance reviews.
- Using Revit and other digital tools as part of your everyday design workflow.
- Getting stuck into regular CPDs and sharing knowledge across the team.
- Being a proud advocate of interdisciplinary teamwork.
What you'll need
- Inquisitive mindset, someone who regularly asks, "Can we do this better?"
- 2+ years of relevant experience in building services or MEP design.
- Team player who enjoys supporting others.
- Experience seeing projects through from early stages to completion.
In return, you'll get a clear path for growth and support to become a CEng and mentoring and guidance from Directors and Partners who are hands-on and approachable.
