Contract - 3 months



Rate - £34-£35 umbrella rate - depending on experience.

Summary
We are seeking a Facilities Electrical Technician to join the facilities management team, this role involves performing routine reactive and preventative maintenance across multiple building systems including electrical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, carpentry, and fabric repairs. You will work collaboratively with the on-site facilities team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, delivering exceptional customer service within client sites.


Key responsibilities include, operating and maintaining mechanical and electrical (M&E) equipment such as UPS, CRAC units, generators, BMS, power distribution systems, air conditioning, fire alarm, water protection, and drainage systems, ensuring compliance with HSE and statutory requirements. You will supervise vendor maintenance work, provide first-line fixes for electrical and plumbing issues, perform fabric repairs, conduct quality audits, and manage tasks through internal systems to meet KPIs and SLAs.

The role requires flexibility to work shifts over a 5-day week, including occasional weekends.

Skills
• Facilities maintenance experience (minimum 2 years)
• Technical qualification and/or trade licence
• Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning competency
• Knowledge of M&E equipment operation and maintenance (UPS, CRAC, BMS, generators, fire alarm systems)
• Ability to supervise vendor maintenance work.
• Fabric repair and handyman skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to work shifts, including on-call and emergency callouts.

Software/Tools
• Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Microsoft Word and Excel

Certifications & Standards
• 18th edition City & Guilds
• Relevant technical qualification or trade licence
• Compliance with Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations and statutory requirements.
