Intermediate Electrical Engineer Life Sciences Central London

Our client is a large and well-established MEP Sub-Contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major Mechanical & Electrical Packages on behalf of Tier:1 main contractors involved in technology schemes including Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, Semi-Conductor plants and heavy industrial projects.

Due to continued growth in the region of their pharmaceutical division, our client is now seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join their team based on a Life Sciences build in Central London.

Responsibilities

Design & Documentation:
Develop and review detailed electrical system designs (power distribution, lighting, grounding, and emergency systems) in compliance with GMP, GAMP, and life sciences regulatory standards.
Construction Support:
Provide technical oversight during installation, commissioning, and validation of electrical systems on-site, ensuring alignment with project drawings, specifications, and client expectations.
Coordination with Stakeholders:
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teamsincluding process, mechanical, and automation engineersas well as architects and contractors, to integrate electrical systems within the broader project scope.
Compliance & QA/QC:
Ensure all electrical installations adhere to relevant codes (NEC, IEC, etc.) and client-specific standards, participating in quality inspections and resolving non-conformance issues.
Project Scheduling & Reporting:
Assist in maintaining project timelines by tracking electrical deliverables, supporting procurement schedules, and providing progress updates to the engineering lead and project manager.


Requirements

Must have degree level qualification or equivalent trades background
Must have 3+ Years experience in a similar role on life sciences or similar large-scale construction projects
Must have UK Passport or RTW
