Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a forward-thinking design team working for a well established Building Services Consultancy. 

The ideal candidate will be confident working across disciplines, contributing to innovative, sustainable engineering solutions in sectors such as commercial offices, high-end residential and student accommodation. You’ll be using cutting-edge design tools and analysis software to deliver high-quality, accurate project information within agreed budgets and timeframes.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead detailed engineering design for building services, including calculations, drawings, schematics, models, and specifications.

• Collaborate closely with architects, design teams, clients, and stakeholders, acting as a main point of contact.

• Manage projects from concept through to post-construction.

• Ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and best practices.

• Provide technical expertise, review designs, and support the development of junior team members.

• Represent the business professionally and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in mechanical design engineering.

• Strong technical knowledge and hands-on design experience.

• Project management experience is highly advantageous.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Commitment to continuous professional development.
