Shift Engineer

Location: Gresham Street, London

Hours: 12hr Shifts (6 On, 4 Off, 4 On, 6 Off, 4 On, 4 Off)

My client are seeking a Shift Engineer for a role based within one of their corporate contracts in central London.

Job Duties:

To undertake all aspects of the mechanical & electrical services planned preventative maintenance programme
To maintain the highest standards of maintenance of all mechanical and electrical services
Fault find all problems with the mechanical & electrical plant and services on site
Rectify & keep operational all mechanical & electrical plant and services on site
To motivate and supervise other members of the resident maintenance team
To supervise and assist mobile support engineers
To supervise and assist any specialist sub-contractors
To provide short term cover for the Engineering Manager

Person Specification:

City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installation
18th Edition.
2391 qualification would be beneficial
Proven continuous history of employment within the M&E Industry
Ability to demonstrate a technical knowledge of a wide spectrum of Electrical Plant and Systems together with comprehensive fault finding ability
Ability to develop and be part of a team. Manage own time, works and paperwork
Positive “can do” attitude. Flexible in approach to hours and problem solving on site
Commercially astute, driven to identify and generate additional works
Good communication skills
Good IT skills
Basic Health and Safety Training and awareness
