Shift Engineer

Location: Gresham Street, London

Hours: 12hr Shifts (6 On, 4 Off, 4 On, 6 Off, 4 On, 4 Off)

My client are seeking a Shift Engineer for a role based within one of their corporate contracts in central London.

Job Duties:
  • To undertake all aspects of the mechanical & electrical services planned preventative maintenance programme
  • To maintain the highest standards of maintenance of all mechanical and electrical services
  • Fault find all problems with the mechanical & electrical plant and services on site
  • Rectify & keep operational all mechanical & electrical plant and services on site
  • To motivate and supervise other members of the resident maintenance team
  • To supervise and assist mobile support engineers
  • To supervise and assist any specialist sub-contractors
  • To provide short term cover for the Engineering Manager

Person Specification:

  • City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installation
  • 18th Edition.
  • 2391 qualification would be beneficial
  • Proven continuous history of employment within the M&E Industry
  • Ability to demonstrate a technical knowledge of a wide spectrum of Electrical Plant and Systems together with comprehensive fault finding ability
  • Ability to develop and be part of a team. Manage own time, works and paperwork
  • Positive “can do” attitude. Flexible in approach to hours and problem solving on site
  • Commercially astute, driven to identify and generate additional works
  • Good communication skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Basic Health and Safety Training and awareness
