The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting a Mechanical plumbing Improver / Mate-level Labourer for our client , based at their site in London WC1B 3DG. This is a temporary role with potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Contract Type: Temporary (with view to permanent hire based on performance)

Hours: Full-time, site-based (in person)

Rate:Â ÂŁ23 per hourÂ
Role – What You’ll Be Doing
You will support the on-site fitter/mechanical team in a range of manual and mechanical-support tasks:

Assist with mechanical/technical work under supervision — handling and using basic tools, materials, site prep and clean-up.

Help with moving materials, loading/unloading, carrying out general labour and support tasks.

Follow instructions carefully, support installations or maintenance work, and help maintain an organised and efficient site environment.

Learn on the job — demonstrating reliability, willingness to work hard, and readiness to pick up new skills.
What We’re Looking For – The Right Fit
We want someone who:

Has some hands-on or practical experience (e.g. labouring, mechanical, construction, maintenance or similar background), comfortable with basic tools.

Is reliable, punctual, and trustworthy — able to work under supervision and follow instructions carefully.

Has a good attitude, ready to “get stuck in”, work physically, and support a small team.

Is keen to learn and develop — open to training, adaptable and motivated to prove themselves.

Wants a long-term opportunity if they perform well — not just a short-term fix.
