Electrical Estimator

We are proud to be working with a leading and highly respected Mechanical & Electrical Building Services Contractor, based in the heart of London. With a reputation for delivering excellence in commercial and office fit-out projects, the company offers complete M&E services from concept design to final commissioning.

With continued growth and a strong pipeline of high-profile projects, they are now seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their established estimating team.

About the Role

As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a key role during the pre-construction phase of projects, preparing accurate and commercially competitive cost estimates for the electrical elements of M&E tenders. Youll collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver winning submissions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare comprehensive tenders for electrical packages ranging from £50k to £4m
  • Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents
  • Estimate material, labour, and equipment costs
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify value-engineering opportunities
  • Collaborate with design, project management, and pre-construction teams
  • Analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure best value
  • Maintain and develop a cost database and historical pricing records
  • Assist in producing complete bid submissions and client proposals
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within the M&E / Building Services sector
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, standards, and installation practices
  • Commercial awareness with a keen eye for detail
  • Proficient in estimating software and Excel
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings with accuracy
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
