We are proud to be working with a leading and highly respected Mechanical & Electrical Building Services Contractor, based in the heart of London. With a reputation for delivering excellence in commercial and office fit-out projects, the company offers complete M&E services from concept design to final commissioning.
With continued growth and a strong pipeline of high-profile projects, they are now seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their established estimating team.
About the RoleAs an Electrical Estimator, you will play a key role during the pre-construction phase of projects, preparing accurate and commercially competitive cost estimates for the electrical elements of M&E tenders. Youll collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver winning submissions.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare comprehensive tenders for electrical packages ranging from £50k to £4m
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Estimate material, labour, and equipment costs
- Conduct risk assessments and identify value-engineering opportunities
- Collaborate with design, project management, and pre-construction teams
- Analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure best value
- Maintain and develop a cost database and historical pricing records
- Assist in producing complete bid submissions and client proposals
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within the M&E / Building Services sector
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, standards, and installation practices
- Commercial awareness with a keen eye for detail
- Proficient in estimating software and Excel
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings with accuracy
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Base Salary: £75,000 £95,000 (DOE)
