Electrician / EV installer

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Location: Hampshire (Southampton/Salisbury area)
Location: UK-wide travel | Sector: Renewable Energy & EV Infrastructure

We’re partnering with an established name in the clean energy space that has carved out a strong reputation over the past decade for their work in solar, battery storage, and electric vehicle infrastructure. As their footprint in the EV charging market continues to grow, they’re now seeking a skilled Electrician with experience in EV charge point installation to join their team.

This role is ideal for someone who’s hands-on, enjoys variety in their work, and is ready to be part of the accelerating shift toward electric transport. You’ll be working on a wide range of EV charge point systems—from 3kW home setups to large-scale 300kW commercial units—so adaptability and a solid grounding in electrical installations are key. Projects span both commercial and public environments, and some travel with overnight stays may occasionally be required.

In addition to core responsibilities, the successful candidate will have the chance to gain experience in cutting-edge technologies like solar PV systems and battery storage, with full support from a company that invests heavily in both internal and external training.

Candidate Profile:

Essential:

  • 18th Edition (BS7671) qualified
  • City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/5
  • Proven experience carrying out electrical installations
  • Strong IT literacy
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Willingness to travel and stay overnight as needed

Desirable:

  • Previous experience with EV or solar PV systems (advantageous but not essential)

What’s on Offer:

  • Competitive salary (dependent on experience)
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays (rising to 28 with service)
  • Company vehicle and fuel card
  • All transport, specialist tools, and access equipment provided
  • Ongoing training in products, codes of practice, and evolving technologies

If you're an electrician passionate about renewable energy and electric vehicle infrastructure, and you're looking for a role where you can grow and develop, this could be the ideal next step.
