Our client is seeking an on-site maintenance electrician to join their residential development in South West London.
Duties:
- Conducting general electrical systems maintenance and troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Inspecting electrical systems, wiring and equipment to ensure they are safe and functioning properly.
- Connecting sockets, switches, light fittings and appliances.
- Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.
- Identifying electrical problems and repairing them.
- Regular Emergency light testing.
- PAT testing.
- Main switch boards checks.
- Upgrading and Changing light bulbs.
- Adhering to strict safety regulations.
- Recording materials and keeping a stock check.
In addition to these tasks, you will be required to manage an onsite handyman and fulfil any other ad hoc duties as needed are part of the job requirements. It's essential to maintain a proactive approach to safety and maintenance in all electrical-related activities.
Desired expertise and qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- 3-5 years Electrical experience.
- Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.)
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Strong communication skills.
- Reporting experience.
The successful candidate must be able to provide excellent references and be willing to undergo full vetting checks.
