The Role
- You will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and delivery of tunnelling and civil engineering activities, working closely with site teams, designers, and project management.
Responsibilities may include:
- Technical leadership across tunnelling and heavy civils packages
- Engineering input to temporary and permanent works design
- Supporting construction planning, sequencing, and methodology development
-Managing and reviewing subcontractor works and engineering deliverables
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme, and in line with quality standards
- Providing engineering support during construction and resolving technical issues on site
About You
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on water infrastructure projects
- Strong background in tunnelling, shafts, underground works, and related civils
- Solid understanding of construction methodologies, temporary works, and ground conditions
- Comfortable working in a freelance/contract capacity and integrating quickly into project teams
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
