Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist lecturers with the preparation of lessons, ensuring all necessary materials and tools are ready and available.
  • Maintain the workshop and all related equipment, keeping everything in excellent working condition.
  • Support learners of various levels by providing guidance and assistance during practical sessions.
  • Implement and monitor health and safety measures to ensure compliance with college policies and create a safe learning environment.
  • Contribute to the smooth operation of the STEM department by being proactive and responsive to the needs of both staff and students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A qualification in Construction, Engineering, or a related field, or a minimum of 2 years of industrial experience in a relevant sector.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of motivating and inspiring learners and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency in IT, aiding in efficient management of resources and information.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
