Analytics Engineer - London + 2 Days WFHCirc £50,000 - £65,000 + Excellent Bens including BonusA new Analytics Engineer role has been created to join an expanding team for this fast growing global ecommerce and wholesale client. This is an exciting opportunity to help build out Advanced Analytics as the team scale up in order to drive decision making, enhance customer experience and optimise operational efficiency. The Analytics Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining advanced analytics, robust data pipelines and systems that enable data-driven insights and strategies. Analytics can be built out in Power BI, but this role is more than just reporting and will sit across the likes of MS Fabric, SQL, PySpark, SAP, Power BI, MS Dynamics and other platforms in the pipeline. This is a hybrid role based in Central / West London with the flexibility to work from home 2 days per week.Key Responsibilities include;

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems to support data integration and analytics.
  • Utilize Microsoft Fabric to ensure seamless data orchestration, integration, and management.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for data visualization and analysis.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability through effective data definition and observability practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with internal business customers to gather business requirements for data products and analytics.
  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics and reporting to deliver key business insights.
  • Homogenize metrics, reports and tools across business functions and automate where possible.
  • Develop and publish self-service tools and bridging/deep dive reports.
  • Develop Proof of Concepts for predictive modelling and data science application.
  • Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation, always insisting on the highest standards.

Key Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proven 2 yrs+ experience as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on SQL, Microsoft Azure Data platforms, and Power BI an advantage.
  • Solid understanding of data definition, observability, and data quality best practices.
  • Proficiency in development languages suitable for intermediate-level data engineers, such as:
    • Python: Widely used for data manipulation, analysis, and scripting.
    • SQL: Essential for querying and managing relational databases.
    • R: Valuable for statistical analysis and data science tasks an advantage
  • Exposure to data science concepts and techniques is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
