Fire and Security Installation Engineer
Location: London & South West (ideally based West or South West London)
Salary: £36,000 – £47,000 basic (DOE) + excellent earning potential + company van
About the Role
You’ll be joining an established NSI Gold and BAFE-approved Fire & Security company, installing and commissioning high-quality systems across London and the South East.
This role focuses mainly on Intruder Alarm installations, with secondary work involving Fire, CCTV, and Access Control systems. You’ll handle the end-to-end process of installation – from wiring and setup to testing and customer handover.
Most projects are small commercial and residential installations, typically one- to two-day jobs, giving you the freedom and responsibility to work independently.
Ideally, you’ll be based in West or South West London, positioning you perfectly to cover jobs across the city and down to the South Coast.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Installing and commissioning Intruder Alarm Systems (primary focus)
- Installing CCTV, Access Control, and Fire Systems (secondary focus)
- Managing the full installation process from start to finish
- Working independently on smaller, short-duration projects
- Maintaining high installation standards in line with NSI codes of practice
- Delivering excellent customer service on every project
What You’ll Need
- Experience installing Intruder Alarm Systems
- Experience with IP and Analogue CCTV and Access Control/Door Entry systems
- Some experience with Fire Detection Systems is beneficial
- Basic networking knowledge (IP configuration, remote access, etc.)
- Familiarity with DualCom monitoring and modern communication devices
- Understanding of NSI installation, commissioning, and maintenance standards
- Full, manual UK driving licence
- Strong communication, time management, and self-motivation skills
- Willingness to travel and work independently

Additional Information
- Standard hours: 7.75 onsite Monday–Friday (start up to 8:30am)
- You’ll travel across London and the South East
- Some work at height is required
- NSSA security screening will be required
