Job Description

This great MSP is looking for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join their expanding UK based Cyber Security Projects team. The ideal candidate would be someone that is already in a similar role and has minimum of 1/2-year experience.

As a Senior Cyber Security Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for deploying Security Technology Solutions for our clients together with assisting our Chief Information Security Officer with Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus Audits and Assessment.

You will be reporting to the Project Management Office Team on a Daily Basis and work with other members of the Cyber Security Team which also includes a Solution Lead, Cyber Security SOC Analyst and Cyber Security Analyst to ensure delivery of Security Solutions and Work Packages remains on-track.

Job Specifications:

Essential Experience

Preference given to candidates with MSP background
Minimum 2 years proven experience in deploying Microsoft Security Solutions
Working knowledge of Microsoft Defender XDR and Microsoft Sentinel SIEM technologies
Working knowledge of Microsoft Defender suite including Endpoint Detection and Response
Understanding of key Microsoft 365 Cloud Technologies from a threat landscape perspective

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Assisting with Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus audits and assessments
Undertaking technical vulnerability remediation
Providing escalation support for Cyber Security Incidents and Alerts from the SOC Team
Providing Security Reporting and Analytics
Undertake web application and offensive security assessments
Undertake Microsoft 365 and Cloud security assessments
Deployment of core Microsoft technology solutions including XDR, SIEM and Endpoint Detection and Response
Security solution scoping including analysis and investigation of new and existing solutions
Escalation point for security engineering tasks
Assisting the CISO with pre-sales tasks and the Security Team as a technical point of contact
Onboarding clients on security management solutions
Assist with client audits and eDiscoveries
Provide a professional and customer-focused delivery
