About the Role: We are seeking a proactive Employee Relations Specialist to join our HR team for a 6 or 12 month period. This role involves supporting Managers during investigations, such as disciplinary and absence management, and updating policies as required. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing company and be available at short notice or within the next month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle employee relations cases across manufacturing and corporate functions in the UK
    • Disciplinary investigations and hearings
    • Grievance investigations
    • Long-term sickness (LTS) absence management
    • Capability management
  • Write case reports and comprehensive outcome letters
  • Coach leaders through ER casework and be hands-on when necessary
  • Partner with HR Business Partners (HRBPs), People Solutions Team, and Team Leaders

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Seasoned professional with demonstrable experience in employee relations
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in FMCG/Manufacturing ER
  • High volume disciplinary and sickness absence management experience
