Employee Relations Specialist | Multi-Site Retail Business | Salary: c£45,000 + Benefits

We're working with a well-established, fast-paced multi-site retail business to find an experienced and confident Employee Relations Specialist. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving people team where you'll take ownership of complex ER casework and help foster a positive, consistent ER culture across both Head Office and store operations.

The Role:As Employee Relations Specialist, you'll be a trusted advisor to managers and stakeholders across the business, providing clear, pragmatic, and legally sound advice on a range of ER matters. You'll take the lead on high-risk and complex cases, support organisational change projects, and contribute to improving ER capability through coaching and guidance.

What You'll Be Doing as a Employee Relations Specialist :

  • Manage a varied ER caseload from start to resolution, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management and performance issues

  • Act as a point of escalation for more complex cases, ensuring compliance with current employment law and company policies

  • Support restructures, consultations, TUPE and policy updates

  • Coach and guide managers to handle ER matters confidently and consistently

  • Identify ER trends through case tracking and reporting, recommending solutions to reduce risk

  • Support in delivering ER-related training to managers and HR colleagues

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Previous experience in a similar ER-focused role, ideally in a retail or multi-site environment

  • Strong, up-to-date UK employment law knowledge

  • Proven ability to manage complex and sensitive ER issues

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Confident in handling TUPE, restructures, and organisational change

  • A practical, people-focused approach with a commercial mindset
