My Local Authority client in South London is looking to appoint a talented Private Sector Housing & Partnerships Lead on a Contract basis.
The role will be the professional expert on Private Sector Housing matters and deal with the most serious, contentious and complex issues relating to Private Sector Housing and will lead on those most challenging issues.
About the role:
Based in South London (Hybrid - flexible):
- To lead a team of enforcement, technical and administrative staff in the provision of Private Sector Housing services to improve conditions in privately rented sector across the Borough
- The post holder will be the professional expert on Private Sector Housing matters and deal with the most serious, contentious and complex issues relating to Private Sector Housing and will lead on those most challenging issues.
- To ensure effective management of a wide range of private sector housing functions, including, selective and additional licensing, and mandatory HMO licensing.
- Lead on the development of Housing partnerships including Landlords Forum, Homelessness Forum, Housing Association Liaison forum to contribute to the Council's management of housing demand and supply pressures.
About you:
You will have the following experiences:
- An up-to-date knowledge of relevant national, regional and local policy in order to develop strategies and plans.
- A good knowledge of the legal, policy and financial framework within which housing options and allocation operate.
- Extensive transformation & strategic experience.
- Local Authority experience is essential.
What's on offer:
- Salary: 650 per day, inside IR35
*negotiable based on experience
