Senior Employee Relations Specialist

North London Based - Homebased with some travel to the office

My large client is currently looking for a Senior Employee Relations Specialist to join them on a 6 month contract basis and act as the subject matter expert (SME) for ER case activity in the London region.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide commercial ER advice to managers of all levels, compliant with employment legislation and HR policy / procedure
  • Provide a Case Management service for ER issues, such as conduct, capability, grievance and absence, ranging from low-risk policy-driven issues to high-risk, complex cases of dismissal, harassment, settlement and reputational risk.
  • Provide strategic guidance to HR Business Partners on matters of project activity and change, such as restructures, redundancy and contract variation.
  • Provide on-site, face-to-face support when required.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of working in a Case Management function, preferably within a Shared Service environment.
  • Strong subject matter expertise in ER with high degree of knowledge and experience for the UK.
  • Experience of operating at a senior advisory level.
  • Confident in the provision of advice, and able to challenge where necessary.
